Abstract
In recent years٫ world class manufacturing concept is considered as a phenomenon that leading organizations are required to implement and use its criteria. On the other hand, with the transition from the era of modernism٫ the contemporary world get affected on the new thoughts and ideas that are presented in the form of postmodernism. In this vicissitudinous path, reviewing phenomenon that pass through both the thoughts is very important. Therefore٫ the purpose of this paper is to examine the concept of world class manufacturing from the prespective of modernism and post-modernism. The research method is descriptive٫ and to gather information library study method was used, and also to collect the required data a questionnaire is utilized. This paper٫ first reviews the concepts of modernism٫ post-modernism and world class manufacturing. The phenomenon of world class manufacturing is discussed from the both perspective. Finally modernistic and postmodernistic indicators and suggestions of WCM concept are offered.
