The petrochemical industry in Iran, as one of the substantial industries, has a very strong position in the country's economy and supplies a considerable share of products to its downstream industries. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to estimate and evaluate the technical efficiency of 21 petrochemical companies in the period of 2018-2023. For this purpose, non-parametric radial (Debro-Farrell efficiency) and non-radial (Russell efficiency) efficiency analysis methods were used under constant, non-increasing and variable return to scale technologies. Also, due to some limitations in radial methods, bias corrected technical efficiency was also estimated using bootstrap data envelopment analysis (DEA). The results showed that Tondgoyan company in constant, variable and non-increasing return to scale technologies and Zagros and Fanavaran companies have Debro-Farrell efficiency in variable return to scale technology; But 18 other companies are inefficient. The findings of bias corrected technical efficiency scores in all three homogeneous, heterogeneous and subsampling bootstraps indicated that all of petrochemical companies have no technical efficiency, and this means that radial and non-radial efficiency suffer from overestimation. It should also be stated that refining companies aren’t in a good situation in terms of technical efficiency
