Various measures have been undertaken in Iran to increase cooperation between universities and society, especially in the industrial part. However, evidence suggests that collaboration is not as good as it should be. The lack of a systemic view and the existing dynamics have caused the relationship between universities and society to be poorly investigated and many aspects to be ignored. In this regard, the present study aims to present a dynamic model of university-society communication with a system dynamics approach to resolving obstacles and conflicts according to historical data. To that end, three main variables have been taken into consideration; Essay writing, Quality of education, and extracurricular projects. The relationship between these indicators in the current research model was established by the faculty member capacity variable, which is a common source between all three main variables. To validate the model, a behavior reproduction test and model sensitivity analysis were used. After confirming the validation of the model, different policies were investigated and the best policy was selected to improve the three main variables according to the faculty member capacity variable. Results of the simulation showed that the distribution of the university budget in the main indicators of essay writing, quality of education, and extracurricular projects under the influence of the disparity of essay writing, quality of education, and extracurricular projects with the targeted amount had acceptable results.
