Studies of production strategy and process manufacturing strategy mainly focuses on content and has less attention to the study of the configuration in this area. This configuration strategies not onlygives a good description of the organization's strategic groups, but also provides a ground for more specialized studies such as performance, the best production decisions in each group and the theory of it. The main purpose of this article is to find basic features of linear production systems in production decesion variables and competetive priorities by study of successful factories with method of case study. This study is qualitative and for gathering information, pre-designed protocol has been used. To analyze the data, adjustment of the theories as well as analysis of the case and in case is used. According to the data analysis and typology, two types of linear production systems were identified, that one is market-oriented and the other is structural-oriented. identification of species was done by study of the two productive decisions and competitive priorities.
