Abstract

Complex competition has caused firms to be more sensitive to the quality of their services and products and to turn to high-quality innovation. Therefore, the aim of this study is the effect of customer knowledge management on innovation quality with the mediating role of strategic agility and the moderating role of competitive intensity. This research is one of the types of quantitative, hypothetical-deductive and applied studies. The current research community includes knowledge-based firms in the country that are active in the field of producing medical devices and equipment. The statistical sample was estimated to be 192 samples through Cochran's formula with a statistical population of 382 companies, and a questionnaire was used to collect data. It is worth mentioning that several hypotheses have been presented to explain the issue, which were evaluated and analyzed using the method of structural equation modeling and in the form of partial least squares. The research results show that the mediating role of strategic agility is significant in the relationship between customer knowledge management and innovation quality. Finally, the output of the software shows that the competition intensity variable negatively moderates the relationship between customer knowledge management and innovation quality. By presenting a new conceptual model in order to improve the quality of innovation in medical equipment manufacturing companies, this research has increased the subject literature and filled the gap in this field.
