At the present time, firms especially banks and finance and credit institutions to compete in the business world are seeking for maximal customer covering, reducing costs and increasing profit and efficiency. For this purpose, they are looking for determining and choosing the best location to start economic activity with scientific methods. This study aimed to locate Mehr Eghtesad bank branches in the region 1 in Tehran city, using geographic information system and the weighted maximal covering model. First, through reviewing the literature and interviews with experts the criteria and sub-criteria affecting the location of bank branches were identified. After that, two questionnaires were prepared and distributed between the bank's Managers then the weights of criteria and sub-criteria were determined based on the Best-Worst Method. Geographic Information System was used to determine potential points that are inputs of the weighted maximal covering model. In the end, the weighted maximal covering model was solved in MATLAB and the best locations for opening the new branches were identified.

The high risk of failure in design projects and weaknesses in implementing the optimal process for the development of new products in the automotive industry on the one hand and the inefficiency of this area in identifying and modeling the design of new products on the other hand are among the most important issues facing the automotive industry. However, the possibility of localizing and balancing the prevailing patterns in this regard faces many challenges and issues. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to design and explain the new product development model in the Iran automotive industry. Using development-applicable approach, this research has followed the ground theory strategy and validated by the experts using the Delphi model. The results of the research indicate a four-stage model including ideology, technical and market evaluation, screening and design selection in the design of new products.

Operating room scheduling has an important role in increasing the productivity of operating rooms and reducing the hospital costs. Due to uncertainties in operating room activities, this problem can be very challenging. In this article, scheduling of daily surgical cases in 3 stages of operation, preparation, surgery and recovery, considering real constraints of teaching hospitals is investigated. This problem, determines the surgeries sequence and start times and resource allocated to each stage of surgeries by the objectives of minimizing the cost of operating rooms’ over time and idle time under uncertainty in surgeries’ durations. Considering the inefficiency of exact methods in solving large stochastic problems, in this article a simulation based optimization approach is proposed to tackle uncertainty. A two stage ant colony optimization algorithm is combined with a simulation. The proposed algorithm is evaluated through solving several real problems from Hashemi Nejad hospital, a teaching hospital in Tehran, using a set of randomly generated scenarios. The results show the efficiency of the proposed algorithm in solving real life problems.

The increasing attention to customer demands in the product process, and the inevitable features and costs of production processes has led researchers to manage orders and choose the right policy for inventory management. This article identifies the structure for determining the optimal location of the Customer Order Decoupling Point and the optimal inventory management policy as one of the most important strategic decisions in the production process. So, we developed a discrete-event simulation model for realistic calculation of cost and Flow time, under different scenarios, and we used the production and sales information of a chemical plant for validation and implementation of the model. The results suggest that the use of a hybrid inventory management policy reduces the cost and delivery time.

In This Article, a two level lot sizing problem with multi production methods and fuzzy demand is presented. The objective of the model is to minimize the costs.Various approaches like Genetic Algorithm (GA), Simulated Annealing (SA) and Vibration Damping Optimization (VDO) are applied to solve the model. Taguchi method has been utilized to calibrate the parameters of algorithms. Then, in order to prove the appropriate performance of the presented solving methods and choosing the most efficient method in order to solve the presented model, first, trial issues created with different dimensions and next solved by Lingo software and the proposed algorithms. Finally, we analyzed the responses.According to the statistical analysis and the results shown by the graph,Vibration Damping Optimization algorithm responses in large dimension issues is better than Simulated Annealing and Genetic Algorithm. Also Simulated annealing responses in large dimensionissues is better than Genetic Algorithm.

The purpose of this study is to -by designing a four echelons supply chain network and considering system and holistic thinking- regard financial and operational considerations -unlike previous studies- in strategic and tactical levels of decision-making and present integrated approach in mathematical modeling. In addition, unlike other studies that only consider profit in the models, the objective of the model is to optimize change in equity and compare with maximizing profit. GAMS and CPLEX solver are used as software for mathematical modeling. Results are indicated of the importance role of financial approach and integration of financial and operational approach in chain purposes and obtaining sustainable competitive advantage. Also, sensitivity analysis on main parameters is done to show the validity and robostness of the model.

The aim of this paper was to investigate the impact of supply chain relationships factors on competitiveness in Iranian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in automotive parts industry. To achieve this aim, the competitiveness indicators and supply chain relations factors have been identified and their relationship has been investigated by structural equation modeling approach. Data collected from 175 small and medium enterprises active in the automobile part industry that have been surveyed through a questionnaire. The results showed that five hypotheses were rejected and the other hypotheses were approved. The significant value of this research can be retained by SMEs managers in automotive parts industry. The results are particularly important for them to improve their understanding on the relationship with other parties in the supply chain.
